Can You Change System Language on Nintendo DS?

No. The Nintendo DS/DS Lite/DSi system language is set at factory and cannot be changed by the user.

Why

• Firmware is region/language-locked during manufacturing.
• No "Language" option exists in System Settings.

Workarounds

• Buy a region-matched unit: Japanese DS for Japanese, US for English, etc.
