Do DS Games Work on DSi XL?

Yes. The Nintendo DSi XL (like all DSi models) is **fully backward compatible** with original Nintendo DS game cards.

• Insert DS cartridge → appears on main menu → play.
• DS games run in "DS mode" (top screen only, no DSi cameras/Shop access).
• Save data writes to the DS cartridge (not internal NAND).

Note: DSi-exclusive titles (DSiWare, System Flaw, Face Training) **do not work** on original DS/DS Lite—no camera/CPU features.
