Two Lord of the Rings titles were released for the Nintendo DS:
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2005) — An action-adventure game based on the first film in the trilogy.
The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II (2006) — A real-time strategy game, part of the broader Battle for Middle-earth series, offering a more tactical experience than its counterpart.
So yes, the Nintendo DS has two distinct Lord of the Rings games spanning different genres.
