Nintendo Region Compatibility: Playing US Games on a Macedonian Console

Compatibility depends on the specific Nintendo console:

• Nintendo Switch: Region-free. Games from any region work on any Switch console. A Switch bought in Macedonia plays American, European, and other region games without issue.
• Older Consoles (Wii, Wii U, DS, 3DS): Region-locked. A Macedonian (PAL region) console only plays games from the same region. American (NTSC-U) games will not work.

Digital Games Note: While the Switch hardware is region-free, some digital games may still be region-locked, preventing download/purchase from a different region's eShop.

Verification Tips:

• Check packaging for region codes (e.g., "NTSC-U" for Americas, "PAL" for Europe).
• Look for "Region Free" labels on packaging.

Conclusion: For Switch, any region works. For older consoles, match the game region to the console region.
