Can You Play Game Boy Games on DS Lite? (Short Answer: No—But Workarounds Exist)

The DS Lite cannot natively play Game Boy, Game Boy Color, or Game Boy Advance cartridges. The hardware differences are fundamental:

• Different CPU architecture (ARM9/ARM7 vs. Sharp LR35902/Z80).
• Incompatible cartridge slot—physically and electrically.
• No built-in Game Boy emulator.
