How Do You Re-Register the Pokewalker in the Game Pokemon HeartGold?

In addition to the base game, "Pokemon HeartGold" comes packaged with a little device designed to encourage exercise while leveling your Pokemon; it's called a Pokewalker. After you register the Pokewalker, you can transfer one Pokemon into it and walk around to earn experience on the go. If you need to reset your Pokewalker, you will need to re-register it before you can transfer Pokemon between the two again.

Instructions

  Load "Pokemon HeartGold" to the main menu. Tap "Connect to Pokewalker" on the bottom screen of your Nintendo DS.

  Hold "Down" and "X" simultaneously, and then press the "L" shoulder button. This resets your Pokewalker back to new.

  Tap "Connect to Pokewalker" again, followed by "Save, then go for a Stroll."

  Tap the Pokemon you want to transfer to your Pokewalker.

  Tap the button on the Pokewalker when prompted. This connects and re-registers your Pokewalker as normal.
