Most Nintendo DS games work on the DS Lite, but there are exceptions:
Games requiring original DS hardware: Titles that use the original DS’s built‑in microphone or camera (which the DS Lite lacks) will not function.
DSiWare titles: Games released in DSiWare format are designed for DSi/DSi XL only and won’t run on a DS Lite.
Generally, the DS Lite plays nearly all standard DS cartridges without issues. If unsure about a specific game, check its packaging or online compatibility lists.
