How to Use the Nintendo DS Browser: You Can't (DSi/3DS Only)

The original Nintendo DS (Phat) and DS Lite do NOT have a web browser. Only the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo 3DS family include browsers.

Nintendo DSi Browser

• Pre-installed (System Menu → Internet).
• Discontinued 2013. Nintendo servers offline. Shop closed 2017.
• Useless for modern web (see Article 94205).

Nintendo 3DS Browser

• NetFront Browser NX. Supports basic HTML5, JS (limited), TLS 1.2.
• Still slow, crashes on heavy sites.
• Can access Pokémon Global Link (shut down), Miiverse (shut down), eShop (closed 2023).

Modern Alternatives for DS/DSi/3DS

• DSi/3DS + CFW (TWiLight Menu++ / Luma3DS): Run RetroArch cores, nds-bootstrap, homebrew apps.
• Switch: Full WebKit browser (hidden: Settings → Internet → Internet Settings → Change Settings → DNS → Manual → 045.055.142.122 → "SwitchBru" DNS → "Continue to Google" → browser).
• Smartphone: Actual internet.

If you have a DS/DSi Lite: You cannot browse the web. Use it for games.
