Best Final Fantasy on Nintendo DS or Wii

Both platforms have excellent entries—choice depends on preference:

Nintendo DS (All Remakes)

• Final Fantasy III (3D Remake): Job system origin, challenging, beautiful.
• Final Fantasy IV (3D Remake): Improved graphics, Augments, new dungeon.
• Final Fantasy V (3D Remake): Best job system, deep customization.
• Final Fantasy VI (Port): SNES classic with bonus content.
• FFXII: Revenant Wings: RTS spin-off (also on DS).

Wii

• Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time: Action-RPG, co-op focus.
• Final Fantasy IV: The After Years: WiiWare episodic sequel.
• Virtual Console: FFIV (SNES), FFVI (SNES), FFI (NES)—original versions.

Recommendation

• Best Traditional RPG: FFV (DS)—job system mastery.
• Best Story/Characters: FFIV (DS) or FFVI (DS/VC).
• Best Co-op: Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time (Wii/DS).
• Best Original Experience: VC versions (SNES originals).

All DS remakes are 3D with voice acting (partial); VC is pure pixel art.
