Pokémon Sapphire on Nintendo DS: GBA Original vs. 3DS Remake

Pokémon Sapphire is a Game Boy Advance (2003) game. It plays on:

• Nintendo DS / DS Lite: Via GBA cartridge slot (backward compatible).
• NOT on DSi / DSi XL / 3DS / 2DS: No GBA slot.

The remake is Pokémon Alpha Sapphire (2014) for Nintendo 3DS/2DS (paired with Omega Ruby). It features updated graphics, Mega Evolution, new story content, and 3D.

Which to Choose?

• Original (GBA on DS/DS Lite): Pixel art, Gen 3 mechanics, nostalgia.
• Alpha Sapphire (3DS/2DS): Modern graphics, QoL, online features, post-game.

Both are excellent; Alpha Sapphire is more accessible today.
