Nintendo Games on PlayStation Store? No – Separate Ecosystems

No. Nintendo and Sony are direct competitors with mutually exclusive platforms.

Why Never

• Hardware: Nintendo makes consoles (Switch, DS, Wii...). Sony makes PlayStation. First-party games drive hardware sales.
• OS / SDK: Nintendo games compile for Nintendo APIs (NVN, Cafe OS, Horizon). PlayStation uses LibGCM / GNM / PS4/5 SDK. Binary incompatible.
• Business: Exclusivity = platform value. Mario on PS5 destroys Switch USP.
• Legal: Nintendo IP (Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, etc.) licensed only for Nintendo platforms.

Where to Buy Nintendo Games

• Nintendo eShop (Switch / 3DS / Wii U – latter two closed for purchase)
• Physical Cart/Disc: Retail, Amazon, GameStop, eBay, local shops
• Nintendo Switch Online: NES, SNES, N64, GB, GBA, Genesis libraries (subscription)

What *Is* on PlayStation Store

• Sony 1st Party: God of War, Spider-Man, Horizon, Last of Us, Gran Turismo
• 3rd Party Multiplats: Call of Duty, FIFA, Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy
• Indies: Hades, Hollow Knight, Celeste, Stardew Valley
• Zero Nintendo IP.

Exception (Historical)

Tetris (licensed from Elorg), Minecraft (Mojang/MS – on everything), Skylanders (Activision toys-to-life). These are not Nintendo games.

TL;DR: Buy a Switch (or 3DS/DS/Wii U) for Nintendo games. PS5 for Sony games. PC for (almost) everything else.
