Does Nintendo of America Develop Games? No, They Publish & Distribute

No—Nintendo of America (NoA) is a distributor/publisher, not a developer.

NoA's Role

• Distribute & Publish: Japanese HQ games (Mario, Zelda, etc.) in North America.
• Localize: Translate/adapt for English + regional markets.
• Market & Promote: NA advertising, events, PR.
• Manage Services: Online infrastructure, customer support for region.

Vital for bringing Nintendo games to NA—but they don't create them.
