How to Register a Friend in Call of Duty 5 for Wii

"Call of Duty: World at War" for the Wii--also known as "Call of Duty 5"--allows players to connect online and play competitive matches against random players or registered friends. The process of registering friends in "World at War" requires both users to exchange friend codes and type the other's code into an in-game prompt screen.

  Insert your "Call of Duty: World at War" disc into your Wii's disc drive. Turn the power on with the Wii Remote and press "A" to go past the health and safety screen. Press "A" on the disc channel in the upper left hand corner and click on the "Start" button.

  Wait for all of the opening logos to go by. Press "A" to go to the main menu.

  Point the Wii Remote at the screen and move the cursor over the "Multiplayer" option and press "A." The game will now connect to the online multiplayer section.

  Press the "1" button after the loading is complete. This will bring up the friend screen. At the bottom the friend code to give to other players will be displayed.

  Press "A" on "Add Friend." A number pad will pop up. Press "A" on any number to add your friend's friend code sequence.
