How to Register Your Wii

The Nintendo Wii is a game system with many features, including a large game library, weather and news reports and an online gaming community. Registering a Wii system with Nintendo has many benefits. By registering your Wii, you become a member of Club Nintendo, a service that awards coins for your Nintendo purchases. These coins may be redeemed for gifts like posters, playing cards or Wii remote holders. Additionally, registering a Wii extends the manufacturer's warranty by an additional 90 days.

Instructions

  Go to the Nintendo website and click the "Club Nintendo" tab at the top of the page.

  Click the "Join Club Nintendo Now!" button on the left side of the page.

  Fill in your date of birth, email address, desired user name and password. Complete the "Additional Information" section, supplying your name, address, preferred language and gamer level. Check the box to agree to the terms and conditions, and click "Done."

  Check your email and locate the email sent from Club Nintendo. Click on the link within the email to confirm your registration. You are returned to the Club Nintendo website.

  Log in to your account using the user name and password you have chosen.

  Look at the bottom of your your Wii console to locate the serial number. Type this number into the box under "Earn Coins Now." Click "Register," and your Wii is now registered with Nintendo.
