Controller Support in Dynasty Warriors Online

No official controller support exists. Dynasty Warriors Online (PC, 2007–2013 JP / 2010–2014 NA/EU shutdown) was designed strictly for **Keyboard + Mouse**.

Why?

• MMO UI (chat, menus, hotbars) requires mouse precision.
• Camera control mapped to mouse axis; no native gamepad camera handling.
• Service shutdown (2014) halted any update possibility.

Workarounds (Unofficial)

• Steam Input / reWASD / AntiMicroX: Map KB/M inputs to gamepad. Requires profile tuning; camera turning feels clunky.
• Private Servers (DWO Reborn, etc.): Some fan revivals may have added controller support—check their specific Discord/wiki.

Modern Alternative

Dynasty Warriors 9 (PC/PS4/Xbox One) and Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires have **full native controller support** and similar 1v1000 action gameplay.
