How to Add a Game to Your Battle.net Account
Adding a game to Battle.net takes three steps—purchase, redeem, play.
1. Purchase the Game
Digital:
Battle.net Shop, Blizzard Store, or Steam (linked accounts).
Physical:
Retail box with disc or code card.
2. Redeem / Install
Digital purchase:
Auto-adds to your library; click Install in the Battle.net app.
Physical disc:
Insert → follow on-screen prompts (may download bulk of data anyway).
Code card:
Redeem at
account.battle.net
→ "Add a Game" or in Battle.net App → Shop → "Redeem a Code".
3. Access & Play
Game appears in the "Games" tab of the Battle.net desktop app.
Some titles (e.g.,
WoW
) require separate install/updates after license attachment.
Reminders
Verify system requirements before buying.
Region-lock: codes must match your account region.
Contact Blizzard Support for "Code Already Claimed" or region errors.
