Where to Get 3DS Games Legally

I cannot provide sources for illegal 3DS game downloads. Here are the legitimate options:

Official Digital

• Nintendo eShop (on 3DS/2DS): Still operational for purchases/redownloads
• Note: Credit card/PayPal support ended; use eShop cards or Nintendo Account balance

Physical Cartridges

• GameStop, Amazon, eBay, local retro shops
• Prices vary widely—rare titles (e.g., Persona Q2, Stella Glow) command premiums

Emulation (Legal Gray Area)

• Emulators (Citra, Panda3DS) are legal
• Dumping your own cartridges for personal use is generally considered fair use
• Downloading ROMs you don't own is copyright infringement

Closure Context

The 3DS eShop closed to new purchases March 27, 2023, but redownloads and updates still work. Physical market is now the primary acquisition method.
