Penny's Video Game Addiction in The Big Bang Theory? She Wasn't Addicted

Penny does not become addicted to an online multiplayer game.

What She Actually Plays

• Casual Mobile/Social Games: "FarmVille" (referenced S3E11), "Candy Crush Saga" (implied), "Words with Friends".
• Console (Rare): Plays Halo 3 once with Leonard (S3E7) — gets frustrated, quits.
• Wii Sports / Wii Fit: Seen playing with the group (S3E22).

The Gamers in the Group

• Sheldon: MMOs (WoW referenced, "Age of Conan" S2E14), text adventures, emulators.
• Leonard: Halo, WoW, Star Trek Online.
• Howard: WoW (Orc Shaman "Wolowitz"), Star Trek Online.
• Raj: WoW (Night Elf Hunter), Star Trek Online, mobile games.

Episode Confusion?

You might be thinking of:

• S3E11 "The Maternal Congruence": Penny stays up all night playing FarmVille (Facebook).
• S7E17 "The Friendship Turbulence": Penny tries to learn gaming to connect with Leonard — plays generic "online game" briefly.

Penny's arc is about not being a gamer, contrasting the core four.
