Legal Ways to Play PS1 Games on PS3
PlayStation Store (PS3): Buy/Download PS1 Classics directly on the console's Store app (while servers last).
PlayStation Plus Premium: Streams select PS1 titles (region-dependent).
Physical Discs: All fat PS3s (CECHA/B/C/E) and early 80GB (CECHE) play PS1 discs natively. Later models require software emulation (limited compatibility).
Remote Play from PS Vita/PSP: Purchase on Vita/PSP Store, stream to PS3.
Risks of "Browser Download" Sites
Piracy: Illegal in most jurisdictions.
Malware: PKG/ISO files from shady sites often contain viruses.
Bans: Modifying PS3 firmware (CFW/HEN) for piracy risks PSN ban.
Support developers: buy digital Classics or hunt physical discs.
