Playing Call of Duty: Black Ops on PS4: Only Via Remaster in Black Ops III

You cannot play the original Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010) on PS4. The PS4 lacks backward compatibility with PS3 discs or digital licenses.

Available Options

• Black Ops III – Zombies Chronicles Edition / Season Pass: Includes a remastered version of Black Ops 1 (multiplayer & zombies) playable on PS4.
• Black Ops Cold War / Vanguard / Modern Warfare II/III: Current-gen entries with similar gameplay.
• PlayStation Now (cloud streaming): Check if the remaster is in the rotating catalog.

The remaster is the only legitimate way to experience the original Black Ops on PS4 hardware.
