PC Games Do Not Run on PS3 – Architecture & OS Incompatibility

PC games are incompatible with PS3 due to:

• OS Difference: Windows vs. PS3's proprietary OS.
• Hardware Architecture: x86 vs. Cell processor; different GPU, memory.
• Input Methods: Keyboard/mouse vs. DualShock.

Exceptions

• Cross-Platform Releases: Games built for both (e.g., Portal 2, Skyrim).
• Emulation (Advanced): Some old PC games run via PS3 Linux/emulators—unsupported, complex.

To play PC games, you need a PC.
