DualShock 3 Vibration Compatibility with PS2 Games on PS3

The DualShock 3 controller (with built-in motion sensors) does not vibrate when playing PS2 games on a PS3.

Reason: The PS2 uses a rumble pack that plugs into the controller, while the PS3 uses built-in vibration motors in the controller itself. The PS3 cannot translate PS2 vibration signals to the DualShock 3's motors.

This means even though the PS3 plays PS2 games via backward compatibility, the vibration feature of those games is not supported.
