Warhawk on PS4? No Official Plans

No. Sony has never announced a Warhawk remaster, remake, sequel, or backward compatibility patch for PS4/PS5.

Why It's Unlikely

• Server Architecture: Warhawk (2007) used dedicated servers (rented by Sony/Incognito). PS3 shutdown (2019) killed them. Rebuilding netcode for peer-to-peer or Azure is costly.
• IP Ownership: Sony owns IP. Incognito Entertainment closed (2010). Dylan Jobe (creator) founded LightBox Interactive (Starhawk), then left. No team remains.
• Starhawk (2012) Failed Commercially: Spiritual successor on PS3. Low sales → No franchise momentum.
• Backward Compat: PS4/PS5 do not emulate PS3 (Cell architecture). Warhawk not on PS Now/Plus Premium streaming.

Community Efforts

• Warhawk Reborn (PC Fan Server): Reverse-engineered server emulator. Requires CFW PS3 or RPCS3 emulator + original game dump. Legal gray area.
• RPCS3 (PS3 Emulator): Runs Warhawk playable (Ingame) on high-end PC. Online via custom server build.

Spiritual Successor on PS4/PS5: Hell Let Loose (large scale, combined arms), Squad, Foxhole (logistics). Not arcade flight/tank.
