Can You Play PC Games on PS3? Why It's Not Possible

No. Fundamental incompatibilities prevent PC games from running on PS3:

• OS: PC games target Windows/Linux/macOS; PS3 uses a proprietary Cell OS.
• CPU Architecture: PS3's Cell Broadband Engine (PowerPC + SPEs) ≠ x86 (Intel/AMD). PC binaries won't execute.
• Graphics API: PC uses DirectX/Vulkan/OpenGL; PS3 uses PSGL/GCM.
• File Format: PC = .exe/.dll; PS3 = signed .self/.sprx on Blu-ray/HDD.

Some PC games were ported to PS3 (separate development), but you cannot simply run a PC version on the console.
