How to Sign Into Someone Else's Account on the PS3

Certain Sony devices, such as the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable gaming systems, allow users to gain access to the PlayStation Network online service. The PlayStation Network features proprietary game downloads, appearance themes and video media. It also provides a way for users to keep track of game achievements. Having a friend log into his PSN account using your PS3 game console is an easy task that only takes a couple of minutes to perform.

  Turn on the PS3 game console and press the "PS" button, located in the center of the game controller.

  Select the "Create New User" option, under the "Users" menu item and press the "X" button.

  Enter your friend's user name for the account, using the on-screen keyboard. Confirm the account and navigate to the "PlayStation Network" menu item.

  Highlight the "Sign In" option and press the "X" button.

  Have your friend enter the email and password for the account in the fields provided. Check the "Sign In Automatically" and "Save Password" options, if desired.

  Highlight the "Sign In" button and press the "X" button to complete the process.
