Will There Be Video Games for PlayStation? Yes—Continuously

Yes—absolutely and continuously. PlayStation is a platform (consoles, handhelds, cloud), not a single game. Sony and thousands of developers release new titles every year.

What This Means

• Current generation (PS5): Major exclusives (Spider-Man 2, Final Fantasy XVI, God of War Ragnarök), third-party blockbusters, indie gems.
• Backward compatibility: PS4 library (4000+ games) playable on PS5.
• PS VR2: Dedicated VR titles launching regularly.
• PlayStation Plus: Monthly game catalog additions (Essential/Extra/Premium tiers).
• PC ports: Many former exclusives now release on Steam/Epic day-and-date or shortly after.
