Fix "Signed Out of PlayStation Network" Error on PS4/PS5

Troubleshooting PSN Sign-Out Issues

1. Check Service Status

Visit status.playstation.com. If any service shows **yellow/red**, wait for Sony to resolve.

2. Basic Connectivity

  • Test internet on phone/PC – same issue? → ISP/router problem.
  • Restart router/modem (unplug 30 sec).
  • **Use wired Ethernet** if possible – eliminates Wi-Fi variables.
  • Run **PS4/PS5 “Test Internet Connection”** (Settings → Network).

3. Account & Credentials

  • Sign in on account.sony.com via PC/phone to verify password.
  • Reset password if needed.
  • Enable **2FA (2-Step Verification)** – Settings → Security → 2SV.
  • Check email for “account locked,” “suspicious login,” or “password changed” notices.

4. Console-Side Fixes

  • Rebuild Database: Safe Mode (hold power 7 sec → 2nd beep) → Option 5. **Won’t delete games/saves.**
  • Update System Software: Settings → System → System Software Update.
  • Restore Licenses: Settings → Users & Accounts → Other → Restore Licenses.
  • Delete & Re-add User: Settings → Users → Delete (back up saves to **Cloud** / USB first).

5. Network Config Tweaks

  • Set **DNS Manual**: Primary 1.1.1.1, Secondary 8.8.8.8 (Settings → Network → Set Up → Custom → DNS).
  • Open ports (router): TCP 80, 443, 3478–3480; UDP 3478–3479 (UPnP usually handles).
  • Disable “Media Server Connection” (Settings → Network → Media Server Connection → Off) – reduces background traffic.

6. Contact Support

If nothing works: PlayStation Support → Chat/Phone. Have **console serial number** & **error code** (e.g., NW-31297-2, WS-37397-9) ready.
