Playing PlayStation Move Heroes Without Move Controllers

Impossible. PlayStation Move Heroes (2011) is hard-locked to PlayStation Move motion controllers. The game engine requires:

• 6-DoF Tracking: Orb + PS Eye camera for position + orientation.
• Button Mapping: Move (trigger), T, Action, Start, Select, PS — no DualShock 3 equivalent.
• Gameplay Design: Every mechanic (aiming, throwing, combat, navigation) built around motion.

What Doesn't Work

• DualShock 3 / Sixaxis — no orb, no camera tracking.
• PS3 Navigation Controller — supplemental only, no tracking orb.
• PS4/PS5 Camera + Move — not backward compatible with PS3 software.
• Third-party "Move-compatible" controllers — none exist for PS3.

Your Options

1. Buy Move Controllers: Used pair $20–$30 (eBay, GameStop). Need PS Eye camera ($10).
2. Play on PS3 with Move — it's the only way.
3. Similar Games (DualShock): Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One (co-op), LittleBigPlanet 2 (Move optional), Sports Champions (Move required).

Move Heroes is a tech showcase — without the tech, there's no game. Controllers are cheap; the experience is unique.
