Playing Call of Duty: Black Ops vs. AI Without PlayStation Network

Yes. PSN is not required for offline modes:

• Campaign – full single-player story.
• Combat Training – vs. bots (recruit/regular/hardened/veteran) with custom rules.
• Local Split-Screen (2P) – versus bots or 1v1.
• Zombies (Solo / Local Co-op) – Kino der Toten, Five, Dead Ops Arcade, etc.

PSN (+ PS Plus on PS4/5) is only needed for online multiplayer matchmaking (public lobbies, ranked, leaderboards).

Note: PS3 online servers for Black Ops are still up (as of 2024) but sparsely populated.
