Super Mario 64 DS on PC: No Working DS Emulator

There is currently no reliable Nintendo DS emulator that runs Super Mario 64 DS well on PC.

Emulator	SM64DS Playability	Issues
melonDS	In-game, major graphical glitches	Missing 3D layers, texture corruption, crashes in levels.
DeSmuME	Menus only	Freezes at level load; no 3D hardware emulation for this title.
NO$GBA	Crash on boot	No DS 3D support.
Ryujinx / Yuzu	N/A	Switch emulators; SM64DS not on Switch.

Nintendo DS / DS Lite / DSi / 3DS / 2DS: Original cartridge (works on all).
Wii U Virtual Console: Purchased before Mar 2023 → redownloadable.
Super Mario 64 (Original N64): NSO Expansion Pack (Switch), Wii U VC, or N64 cart.
PC Port (Community): sm64ex / sm64pc – Native PC port of Super Mario 64 (N64 version) with 4K, widescreen, mods. Legal if you dump your own N64 ROM.

For the DS version specifically (extra characters, minigames, touch controls), original hardware or Wii U VC are the only functional options.
