Animal Crossing: City Folk (Wii) – Adding a Second Player to Your Town

You cannot add a second resident to your town. Animal Crossing: City Folk supports 1 save file = 1 town = 1 human resident (player character) per Wii console.

• Additional Human Characters: You can create up to 4 player characters on the same save file (select "New Resident" at title screen). They share the same town, same house (separate rooms), same mortgage. Not separate towns.
• Visiting Friends: Use Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (defunct) or local wireless (DS Suitcase) to visit other towns. Official servers shut down 2014.
• Modern Online: Use Wiimmfi (custom DNS 164.132.44.106) on Wii (homebrew) or Dolphin emulator to visit towns online again.

For true multi-town multiplayer, play Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Switch) – 8 accounts per island, local/online visit.
