How to Save in The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Ring

There are multiple games titled The War of the Ring. The save method depends on which you're playing:

1. Board Game (Fantasy Flight Games, 2004 / 2nd Ed. 2011)

No save feature. It's a physical 2–4 player board game. To pause: record board state (photos, notes on VP, armies, cards, Fellowship position, hunt tiles, dice pools) and store components carefully.

2. PC Real-Time Strategy (Liquid Entertainment, 2003)

• In-game: Esc → Save Game (or Menu → Save).
• Auto-save at mission checkpoints.
• Saves stored in My Documents\The War of the Ring\SaveGames\.

3. Mobile (Various Licenses)

• Usually auto-saves to cloud (Google Play Games / Game Center) or local device storage.
• Check Settings → Cloud Save / Account Link.

4. Other Titles

• The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age (RPG, 2004) – Save at Save Points (glowing stones).
• War of the Ring Online (cancelled MMO) – N/A.
