Final Fantasy IV Minigames: Chocobo Breeding, Fishing, Tetra Master

Final Fantasy IV (FFII US SNES / 3D Remake DS/PSP/PC) has no traditional minigame menu. Three side activities exist:

Chocobo Breeding (All Versions)

• Catch chocobos in forests → stable at Fat Chocobo Farm.
• Breed for stats/colors → Black (fly), Gold (fly+cross water), White (restore MP).
• DS/3D Remake: More depth, genetics system.

Fishing (3D Remake Only—DS/PSP/PC/Steam)

• Specific spots (Baron, Mist, Kaipo, etc.)
• Catch fish → sell, cook, or trade for rare items.
• Rod upgrades (Amateur → Pro → Master).

Tetra Master (Card Game—3D Remake Only)

• Play NPCs in towns / Crystal Tower.
• Collect cards (enemy drops, rewards).
• Rules: Arrow placement, combo chains, type advantages.
• Rewards: Gil, rare items, bestiary completion.

Original SNES / GBA / PSP 2D

Only Chocobo Breeding (simplified). No fishing, no cards.

For minigame variety: FFV (GBA/Steam) has more; FFVII has Gold Saucer; FFX has Blitzball.
