Cheating to Level Up in Dota 2? VAC/Overwatch Will Ban You Permanently

Cheating in Dota 2 is strictly prohibited and detected by VAC/Overwatch. Consequences are severe:

• Permanent VAC ban — all Source games affected.
• Game ban — cannot play Dota 2 on any account.
• Phone number ban — linked number barred from new accounts.
• Reputation loss — community reports, low priority queue.

Legitimate Leveling

• Play matches: Turbo mode for faster XP.
• Complete quests: Weekly, event, Guild contracts.
• Battle Pass: Seasonal; huge XP rewards (paid).
• Double XP weekends: Occasional events.
• Coach / watch replays: Learn from higher-MMR players.

Focus on one role, master 3–5 heroes, communicate positively. MMR rises with skill, not shortcuts.
