How to Increase Your Chances of Having a Baby Girl in The Sims 2 (PC)

There is no cheat that guarantees a baby's gender in The Sims 2 — the game determines gender at conception with a 50/50 random roll. However, you can significantly improve your odds of welcoming a daughter by forcing multiple births. Twins and triplets each roll gender independently, giving you much better statistical chances.

Using the Cheat Console

Press Ctrl + Shift + C to open the cheat console, then enter these commands while your Sim is pregnant (before birth):

  1. boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true — Enables advanced cheats.
  2. forcetwins — The next pregnancy will produce twins (often one male, one female).
  3. forcetriplets — The next pregnancy will produce triplets (even higher chance of at least one girl).

How the Odds Work

  • Twins: Each baby has a 50% chance of being female. The probability of at least one girl is 75%.
  • Triplets: The chance of at least one girl rises to 87.5%.
  • If all babies are boys, simply reload your save from before the birth and re-enter the cheat — the gender rolls will re-randomize.

Debunked Gender Myths

Ignore these common misconceptions — they have no effect in The Sims 2:

  • Eating apples or watermelons — That mechanic exists only in The Sims 3.
  • Listening to music or watching TV during pregnancy — No influence on gender.
  • The father's aspiration — Irrelevant to the baby's sex.

Recommended Workflow

Save → Impregnate → Enter forcetwins (or forcetriplets) → Birth → If no girl, reload and repeat. Or, embrace the surprise — a baby boy is just as adorable!
