Entering Cheats in Grand Theft Auto III (By Version)

Modern Re-releases (PS4/5, Xbox One/Series, Switch, PC Steam/EGS, Mobile Netflix)

Cheats are DISABLED. Rockstar removed the cheat input system (phone numbers / button combos) from The Definitive Edition and current-gen ports to maintain leaderboard integrity and trophy/achievement fairness.

Original Releases (PS2, Xbox, PC Classic)

Cheats WORK. Pause game → Enter button combo (PS2/Xbox) or type code (PC).

• PS2: e.g., R1, R2, L1, L2, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up (Weapon Set 1).
• PC: Type GUNSGUNSGUNS (Weapon Set 1), IFIWEREARICHMAN (Money), etc.
• Xbox: Same combos as PS2 with button mapping (Black/White buttons).

Mods (PC Only)

Scripts (CLEO, ASI) restore cheats or add trainers. Install at own risk; disable for multiplayer (SA-MP / MTA not applicable to GTA III usually).
