The Sims 2 Cheat Codes: Complete Reference

Open the cheat console with Ctrl+Shift+C (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+C (Mac). Type codes exactly as shown. Warning: Cheats can corrupt saves. Always back up your neighborhood first.

General Cheats

• motherlode — +§50,000
• kaching — +§1,000
• rosebud — +§1,000 (legacy)
• aging off / aging on — Toggle aging for all Sims
• forcetwins — Pregnant Sim has twins (use before birth)
• moveobjects on / moveobjects off — Place objects anywhere (ignore grid, overlap)
• boolprop testingcheatsenabled true / false — Enables advanced testing cheats (see below)

Testing Cheats (Shift+Click)

On a Sim: Make Happy / Sad / Embarrassed / Angry / Flirty / Playful / Energetic / Bored / Exhausted; Set Age (Baby→Adult); Make All Needs Full; Add/Remove from Family.

On an Object: Delete; Make Clean/Dirty/Broken/Unbroken/Hot/Cold.

Other Useful Codes

• expand — Expands build mode grid (larger lots)
• unlockcareerrewards — Unlocks all career reward objects
• maxmotives — Fills all motives for selected Sim
• motivedecay off/on — Stops/resumes motive decay
