How to Use Cheats in RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Built-in Tools, Mods & Exploits

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 has no traditional cheat codes. Instead, use built-in tools, community mods, and gameplay exploits:

1. Scenario Editor (Built-In "Cheat")

1. Main Menu → Scenario Editor.
2. Create New Scenario → Configure:

• Starting Cash: Up to $10,000,000.
• All Rides/Research Unlocked: Check "All Research Complete."
• Park Size: Large/Flat.
• Guest Generation: High.
• Objective: "None" (sandbox) or custom.

Save → Play in Career → Select your scenario.

2. Mods (Community)

• NE Designs – Custom scenery, rides, CTR (custom track rides).
• RCT3 Mod Loader – Enables .dll mods (unlimited money, no height limit, custom UI).
• OpenRCT2 – Not for RCT3 (RCT2 only). RCT3 has no open-source rewrite yet.

3. Park Designer (Separate App)

• Installed with RCT3 (Start Menu → RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Park Designer).
• Sculpt terrain, place paths, scenery, coasters without money limits.
• Export → Load in main game.

4. Gameplay Exploits (Vanilla)

• Money Farming: Build compact high-throughput coasters (e.g., Wild Mouse) near entrance; max price.
• Copy/Paste Rides: Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V duplicates coasters instantly (saves design time).
• Guest Spam: Delete paths to trap guests → happiness ↑ → park value ↑ → loan limit ↑.
• Tunnel Trick: Build underground coasters to bypass height limits/excitement penalties.

Platinum / Complete Edition

Includes Soaked! & Wild! expansions. Same tools apply.

Recommendation: Use Scenario Editor for sandbox freedom. Mods for unlimited creativity. Exploits for challenge runs.
