Blocking Fighting & Harassment on IMVU: Safety Tools & Settings Guide

IMVU has no "anti-fight code." Use the built-in safety tools instead.

Direct Controls

• Block User: Right-click avatar / profile → Block. Prevents IMs, room entry, pulse invites.
• Report Abuse: Same menu → Report → Harassment / Threats / TOS violation. IMVU moderators review logs.
• Mute: Hide chat from specific user without blocking.

Room & Privacy Settings

• Room Access: Set to "Invite Only" or "Friends Only" (Room Settings → Access).
• Profile Privacy: Limit who sees your profile, sends pulses, views inventory.
• Chat Filter: Enable "Mature Content Filter" (Settings → Privacy) to auto-hide profanity.

Behavioral Tactics

• Don't engage—trolls seek reaction.
• Leave room instantly if hostility starts.
• Join verified/age-gated groups with active moderation.

Escalation

Persistent stalking/harassment → IMVU Help Center → Submit Ticket with chat logs, timestamps, usernames. Law enforcement if threats are credible.
