"Hackscape" (RuneScape Cheats): Why It's a Fast Track to a Permanent Ban

"Hackscape" is slang for cheating in RuneScape. There are no safe cheats, bots, or exploits—only account suicide.

Why It's a Terrible Idea

• Macro Detection: Jagex's Botwatch analyzes input patterns, timing, mouse movement. Most public bots are caught in days.
• Account Chain Bans: Mules, buyers, and associated IPs get swept.
• Malware: "Free GP" tools, "auto-fighters," and "inject clients" often steal login data or install RATs.
• Real-World Trading (RWT): Buying gold = ban risk + fuels botting economy.

Play Smart Instead

• Use the Wiki: runescape.wiki for optimal skilling, money-making, quest guides.
• Join a Clan: PvM, skilling, or social clans teach efficient methods.
• Set Goals: Quest Cape, Max Cape, 120s, Boss logs – track on RuneMetrics.
• Ironman Mode: Forces game knowledge, self-sufficiency, zero trade.

The satisfaction of a legitimate 99 or boss pet far outweighs any shortcut.
