How to Reset Kim Possible: What's the Switch? on Nintendo DS

There is no "Reset Game" or "New Game" option in the menu of Kim Possible: What's the Switch? (DS). The game saves directly to the cartridge (EEPROM/Flash) and assumes one persistent save file.

Why No Reset Option?

  • Common for licensed DS games (budget, small cartridge save sector).
  • Designed for single playthrough — replay via New Game+ not implemented.

Workarounds to Start Fresh

  1. Manual Save Overwrite: Start a new game. It *will* overwrite the existing save slot when you reach the first autosave point (usually after tutorial/first mission). You lose all progress.
  2. Multiple Profiles (DSi/3DS Only): System Settings → User Settings → Create new user profile → Launch game. Each profile gets separate save data (if game supports per-profile saves — most DS games don't; they use one save per cart). Unlikely to work.
  3. Flashcart / Homebrew (CFW):
    • Backup save: Use **Checkpoint** (3DS) or **GodMode9** → Save Manager → Backup `Kim Possible.sav`.
    • Delete save: Same tool → Delete. Game acts like new.
    • Restore later if wanted.
  4. Action Replay / Cheat Code: Code to "Erase Save Data" (rare, game-specific). Search `Kim Possible DS Action Replay code erase save`.

If You're Stuck on a Bug/Glitch

  • Try **Load Game** (not New Game) — may have autosaves.
  • Clean cartridge contacts (99% IPA + cotton swab).
  • Try on another DS/3DS — rules out console slot issue.

Bottom line: Just start a new game. It overwrites the old save at first checkpoint. No menu reset exists.
