Buying DSi Games in 2024: Used Physical Only (Shop Closed)

No new DSi games since 2011; DSi Shop closed 2017. Only second-hand physical carts remain.

Where to Buy Used

• eBay / Mercari / Facebook Marketplace: Filter "DSi Enhanced" or "DSi Exclusive" (white cart shell).
• Local Retro Shops: Call ahead — many stock DS/3DS but not DSi-only.
• GameStop (US) / EB Games (CA) / CeX (UK): Trade-in stock varies.
• Thrift Stores / Car Boots: $1–$5 gems possible.

Digital (DSiWare) — Extremely Limited

• Nintendo eShop on DSi **still loads** but only shows previously purchased titles (redownload).
• No new purchases; no credit card/PayPal entry.
• Some DSiWare moved to 3DS eShop (closed Mar 2023) — also gone.

Compatibility Note

DSi carts (white shell, TWL-XXXX) **do not work** on original DS/DS Lite. They **do work** on 3DS/2DS/3DS XL (backward compatible).

If you want DSi exclusives (Flipnote Studio, Art Academy, WarioWare: Snapped!), hunt physical carts or use homebrew (TWiLight Menu++) on 3DS.
