Nintendo 3DS Parental Controls: No Master Key, Only Official Reset

No universal "Master Key" or backdoor exists for Nintendo 3DS Parental Controls. This is by design to protect children.

If You Forgot the PIN (Legitimate Owner)

1. On PIN entry screen, tap "I Forgot" → "I Forgot" again (Secret Question)
2. Answer your Secret Question
3. If forgot answer: Tap "I Forgot" → "Send Email". A console-unique master key is sent to registered email
4. Enter Inquiry Number (displayed on screen) on Nintendo's Parental Controls Reset Page to generate master key

If Buying Used (No Email Access)

• Contact seller for PIN/Email access
• If impossible: System Format (Settings → Other → Format System Memory) removes Parental Controls BUT deletes ALL data (Games, Saves, NNID, eShop licenses)
• NNID unlink requires password or Nintendo Support call (Serial # + Proof of Purchase)

Warning: Third-party "master key generators" are scams/malware. Only Nintendo's official email reset works.
