Nintendogs (DS) "Restart": You Mean Delete Save Data

Nintendogs has no "Restart" or "New Game" menu option. The only way to start over is deleting the save file.

How to Reset Completely

1. At the Nintendo DS System Menu (before launching game), tap the Nintendogs icon.
2. Tap "Delete Save Data" (trash can icon).
3. Confirm. All puppies, money, items, progress gone forever.
4. Launch game → New puppy selection → Fresh start.

Why It Feels Like a "Restart" Feature

• Multiple Save Slots: 3 slots per game version (Lab & Friends, Dachshund & Friends, etc.). You may have started Slot 2.
• Training Reset: "Obedience Trial" resets trick progress for that contest only.
• Dog Hotel: Donate a dog → it's gone. Feels like restarting that dog.

If You Want Multiple Dogs Simultaneously

You can have up to 3 dogs active (walk 3, 8 stored at hotel). No need to reset.

Back up saves with NDS Backup Tool 3-in-1 (slot-2) or Checkpoint (CFW 3DS) before deleting.
