Can You Connect a Nintendo DSi to a Wii? No Direct Link—But Workarounds Exist
No native connection exists. The DSi and Wii are separate platforms with no built-in data link, cross-play, or controller pairing.
Workarounds for Data Transfer
SD Card → PC → Wii: Copy DSi photos/saves to SD card → transfer to PC → move to Wii via Photo Channel or SD Card Menu.
Cloud (limited): Upload from DSi browser (very limited) or PC → download on Wii via Internet Channel or Photo Channel.
Cross-buy titles: Some WiiWare/DSiWare games (e.g., Cave Story, Mighty Flip Champs) offer "buy once, download on both" — but this is per-title, not a system feature.
What Doesn't Work
DSi as a Wii controller.
Wii as a DSi server.
Direct wireless pairing (different protocols: DS Wireless vs. Wii Bluetooth/Wi-Fi).
Bottom line: Use an SD card and PC as a bridge. No native link exists.
