Cheat Codes for History: Great Empires – Rome (DS): Why They Don't Exist and How to Win Legitimately

There are no official cheat codes for History: Great Empires – Rome on Nintendo DS. Historical strategy games typically omit cheats to preserve their core challenge—balancing taxes, infrastructure, military, and research is the whole point. Third-party databases like Action Replay may list user-submitted codes, but they're notoriously unstable and can corrupt your save file.

Legitimate Strategy Tips

Instead of hunting for shortcuts, focus on the game's designed systems:

• Balance taxation – Too high stifles growth; too low starves your treasury.
• Build roads early – They boost trade income and troop movement speed.
• Manage legions wisely – Don't overextend; keep reserves for rebellions.
• Prioritize tech research – Key upgrades unlock better buildings, units, and economic bonuses.

The reward for mastering these mechanics is a stable, sprawling empire—earned through strategy, not a button combination. That's the satisfaction the developers intended.
