Registering your Nintendo games and products comes with loads of benefits if you're a member of Club Nintendo. The more products you register, the more points you get. As you collect points, you're given the chance to redeem those points for gifts unique to Club Nintendo members. In order to register the games purchased on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console, you need to first link your Nintendo Wii Shop account to your Club Nintendo account. While you can't retroactively register Virtual Console purchases, any future purchases made after linking the accounts will register automatically.

Sign up for a Club Nintendo account (link in Resources). You need your date of birth, email, a preferred user name and password, and your address and contact info. If you already have an existing Club Nintendo account, use that account.

Power on your Wii and select the "Wii Shop Channel" on the Wii's home menu and select "Start."

Choose "Start Shopping" and then select "Settings and Features."

Select "Club Nintendo Membership Settings" and enter your Club Nintendo user name and password into the appropriate boxes. Then select "Link."
