How to Join & Create Minecraft Realms on Pocket Edition (Bedrock)

Prereqs: Microsoft account (free), active Realms subscription (owner only), internet.

Join an Existing Realm

1. Open Minecraft (Bedrock) → sign in with Microsoft account.
2. Tap Play → Realms tab (bottom).
3. Invited Realms appear under Joinable Realms → tap → Play.

Create Your Own Realm

1. In Realms tab, tap Create New → Create Realm.
2. Choose tier:
   • Realms (2 players + owner): $3.99/mo.
   • Realms Plus (10 players + owner + Marketplace content): $7.99/mo.
3. Name it, pick world template (Survival, Creative, Adventure, Mini-games, or Upload Existing World).
4. Configure: Difficulty, Game Mode, Cheats, Player Permissions (Visitor/Member/Operator).
5. Confirm purchase → Realm spins up in ~30 sec.

Invite Friends

• Realm settings → Invite → enter Xbox Gamertag or Microsoft email.
• Invitees get in-game notification + email.

Troubleshooting

• "Unable to connect": Check NAT type (Open/Moderate), restart router, update game.
• Subscription expired: Renew in Microsoft Account → Services.
• Version mismatch: All players must be on same Bedrock version (auto-update on).

Realms is the easiest always-online server—no port forwarding, no hosting hardware.
