Version Differences

  • Nintendogs + Cats (3DS): Adds High Five (Hold 🅰️ + Tap with 2 fingers), Dance (Hold 🅰️ + Wiggle), and cat-specific tricks (Pounce, Stretch).
  • Original 3 Versions (Lab, Chihuahua, Dalmatian): Identical trick sets.

Trick Training Tips

  • Train when dog is calm (not hungry, not hyper).
  • Use consistent gesture speed/angle.
  • Reward with treats (jerky/biscuit) immediately after success.
  • Practice daily → "Perfect" rating → dog performs on voice command alone.
  • Competition: Obedience Trial scores based on speed/accuracy of 3 requested tricks.

Why No "Play Dead"?

Design choice. "Lie Down" + "Stay" (implied) covers it. The trick set fits the 3×3 gesture grid (9 directions + tap + circle). No slot left.
