How to Play Spore Without the Disc (Digital Only, Not "Online Only")

Spore has **no streaming/online‑only version**. You must **install locally** — but you can do it without the disc if you own a digital license:

If You Bought Digitally

• Steam: Library → Spore → Install (downloads ~4 GB).
• EA App (Origin): Library → Spore → Install.
• GOG: Library → Spore → Download offline installer (DRM‑free).

If You Only Have the Disc

• Insert disc → Install via EA App/Origin (registers key to account) → Then play disc‑free.
• **SecuROM DRM** allows limited activations (5) — deactivate via EA Help if maxed.

If You Lost Disc + No Digital License

• **Repurchase** on Steam/GOG (often $5–$10 on sale).
• Contact EA Support with proof of purchase (box photo, receipt) — may grant digital entitlement.

Spore’s Online Features (Still Work)

• Sporepedia (creature/building/vehicle sharing).
• Async challenges (leaderboards).
• **No real‑time multiplayer.**

Buy on GOG for easiest DRM‑free install. Steam/EA App fine if online occasionally.
